Tarleton State University Waco

Tarleton State University Waco, an off-campus instructional site of Tarleton State University, delivers programs serving the needs of McLennan and Hill Counties as a four-year partner of the McLennan Community College (MCC) University Center (UC). Waco and McLennan County represent a rapidly growing population not served by a four-year public institution. In response to a major identified community need for baccalaureate and master’s-level degree programs, McLennan Community College established a University Center to host four-year institutional partners in offering these degree programs on the MCC campus, with Tarleton as one of the inaugural partners. Since 2002, Tarleton has expanded program offerings at this location to include a variety of programs from the College of Education, College of Business Administration, College of Health Sciences and Human Services, College of Liberal and Fine Arts, College of Agricultural and Environmental Science, and College of Science and Technology. Programs include doctoral and master’s level programs/course work, and junior/senior level courses for baccalaureate degree completion. The baccalaureate degree completion programs are designed to build upon associate programs offered by McLennan Community College, Hill College, Texas State Technical College, among others.

Students enrolling at Tarleton Waco may choose courses and entire academic programs offered via a variety of delivery modes including face-to-face, blended/hybrid, or online. Some programs may be offered in a cohort model program-delivery design. Consult the program listing for the type of delivery modes available for each program Tarleton offers through the University Center at MCC.

Tarleton Waco has a diverse student population comprised of working adults seeking graduate degrees and community college graduates/returning students seeking to complete their bachelor’s degree.  Classes are offered in the day and evenings to accommodate both part-time and full-time students.
