Tarleton State University Waco
Tarleton State University-Waco, an off-campus instructional site of Tarleton State University, delivers programs serving the needs of McLennan and Hill Counties as a four-year partner of the McLennan Community College (MCC) University Center (UC). McLennan and Hill County represent a rapidly growing population not served by a four-year public institution. In response to a major identified community need for baccalaureate and master’s-level degree programs, McLennan Community College established a University Center to host four-year institutional partners in offering these degree programs on the MCC campus, with Tarleton as one of the inaugural partners. Since 2002, Tarleton has expanded program offerings at this location to include a variety of programs from the College of Agricultural and Natural Resources, College of Business, College of Education, College of Health Sciences, College of Liberal and Fine Arts, and College of Science and Mathematics, and Mayfield College of Engineering. Programs include doctoral and master’s level programs/course work, and junior/senior level courses for baccalaureate degree completion. The baccalaureate degree completion programs are designed to build upon associate programs offered by McLennan Community College, Hill College, Texas State Technical College, among others.
Students enrolling at Tarleton State University-Waco may choose courses and entire academic programs offered via a variety of delivery modes including face-to-face, blended/hybrid, or online. Some programs may be offered in a cohort model program-delivery design. Consult the program listing for the type of delivery modes available for each program Tarleton offers through the University Center at MCC.
