Independent reading, research, and discussion under the supervision of an instructor. May be repeated for credit when topics vary.
GEOG 5385. Geography Seminar. 3 Credit Hours (Lecture: 3 Hours, Lab: 0 Hours).
This course will consider major environmental and socio-economic issues in modern geography. May be repeated for credit when topics vary.
GEOG 5401. Applied Geospatial Information Science and Technology. 4 Credit Hours (Lecture: 3 Hours, Lab: 1 Hour).
This course will provide a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental theories, concepts, tools, and techniques used in GIS and geospatial technologies with a focus on their application in real world contexts. Further develops hands-on skills with industry-standard GIS software for application in a wide variety of areas including environmental science, human-environment relations, and social science. Credit will not be awarded for both GEOG 5401 and GEOG 6401.
