HLSC 1110. Exploring Careers and Pathways in Health Science. 1 Credit Hour (Lecture: 1 Hour, Lab: 1 Hour).

In this course, students will explore careers and pathways in health sciences. Students will engage in the development of skills to become self-directed, life-long learners by refining the academic abilities and social traits necessary to succeed in the health sciences.

HLSC 3435. Principles of Research for Health Sciences. 4 Credit Hours (Lecture: 3 Hours, Lab: 1 Hour).

This course introduces the fundamental principles of research methodology in health sciences. Students will learn about research design, data collection, statistical analysis, and critical appraisal of scientific literature. Topics include ethics in research, hypothesis development, sampling techniques, and interpreting results, with the goal of equipping students to conduct or evaluate research in health-related fields.
